WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU CHOOSE ENCHANTED MOMENTS ARTISTRY: WHY THE BOUDOIR EXPERIENCE IS DIFFERENT

July 17, 20267 min read
Enchanted Moments Artistry is an Indianapolis boudoir studio led by Brandy Wood, who has invested over $26,000 in professional education and still books personal boudoir sessions to stay in the client's seat. The studio uses a six-tone posing framework and maintains a wardrobe closet of 900+ pieces spanning XS to 6XL.

There are a lot of boudoir photographers out there, and I respect so many of them.

In your search for the right boudoir studio, you’ll find those with talented photographers and those that sell their affordability.

Some are everywhere on your social media feed.

Some can put your image on the back of a camera and make you look beautiful.

I think every person deserves to know what you’re choosing before you choose it as you shop boudoir photographers.

Here’s what goes on at my Indianapolis studio, Enchanted Moments Artistry.

I've Been Where You Are in the Boudoir Search

Before I was a boudoir photographer, I was a woman in a car convincing herself to walk through the door for my first shoot.

I had paid in full, driven five hours, and was willing to forfeit all of it because I was that nervous about what the camera would find.

My best friend kept pushing, and I finally walked through the door.

I walked out much more confident and at ease than I walked in, and that first experience inspired what is now my career.

I knew that, if I could do this for someone else every single day, what a beautiful world that would be.

That’s not my brand story. It’s the reason I do the work, and it means that when you walk in nervous, holding it together, I know that feeling intimately.

I am in the room with you, experience what you experience, and ready to take the full boudoir journey with you.

An Investment in Boudoir Photography Education

I have invested over $26,000 in professional education across three years to become the boudoir photographer whose technical skill matches my passion for the craft.

  • Posing frameworks.

  • Lighting technique.

  • Client communication.

  • Emotional support training.

  • Body movement.

That $20,000+ number was never meant to impress but to serve as an explanation for you. When you’re in front of my camera, you are in the hands of someone who has done the work.

It’s my job to think about the craft. It’s your job to be in the moment. I’m focused on:

  • Where the light is landing.

  • What angle your shoulder needs to be at.

  • When to slow the breath down and when to pick up the pace.

I'm managing all of that and much more so that you're not managing any of it.

I Never Stopped Being the Client

This is the piece I'm most proud of and the piece no course taught me.

I book my own sessions with other photographers at least once a year, specifically to stay in the experience of being the client.

I never want to forget what it actually feels like to be on that side of the camera, and every time I sit in the client seat, I come home with something new to answer and anticipate in my own studio.

A moment where I felt unseen.

A revelation about what it feels like when the guidance is exactly right.

A pose that didn't translate the way the photographer thought it would.

All of it comes back into my studio with me, and it makes me a better photographer for you.

The Framework That Surpasses Standard Boudoir Posing

In the Enchanted Moments Artistry studio, I use a posing framework built around six emotional tones:

  1. Coy

  2. Joy

  3. Longing

  4. Confidence

  5. Pleasure

  6. Desire

Each emotional tone has its own breathing pattern and vocal cue, and even my voice changes for each one.

I breathe with my clients, and I've also added something the original framework doesn't include.

Together, we work through the clinical pose versus the coached pose. I will show you both, and you choose which method we use for the session.

The best part, babes? You can change your mind at any time.

To date, all clients choose the breathing work with the coached poses, because the breath just does something to the muscles.

That translates into the images in a way the clinical direction cannot touch.

The Shampoo Sequence and Why It Works in Boudoir

I have a technique flow I call shampoo, neck, hug, hip, sassy stand. It moves the hands naturally through the body, gets people out of their heads, and almost always makes them laugh.

And that sassy stand at the end? I added that myself.

During a recent reveal, we got to the shampoo image and called it at the same time.

SHAMPOO

The laughs during that reveal are exactly how I want to get my clients comfortable. Instead of performing, let’s create conditions for real moments to happen.

The Enchanted Moments Artistry Boudoir Client Closet Is a Real Resource

We’re working with over 900 wardrobe pieces, XS to 6XL, to find the best fit for your beautiful human body. That number is ever expanding.

My wardrobe doesn't play favorites. XS to 6XL, every body gets the same full run of options. From day one, I was intentional about making sure every size range got the same quality and variety. Not a single size is an afterthought or weak on representation.

I work intentionally to curate a collection where every client has room to find something that feels like them.

Your wardrobe consultation with Enchanted Moments Artistry happens two to four weeks before your session.

You’ll stop in to try things on, and we’ll set aside the pieces that work. You can supplement your own items as well, and we’ll talk about those well before the shoot.

I want no surprises on shoot day, especially when it comes to what you’re wearing on your body and your level of comfort with those choices.

Women Come Back Here Without Being Asked

I’m never one to intentionally oversell the boudoir shoot, but I am passionate about the experience I’m creating for the gorgeous bodies that walk into my studio.

Women who have been through a session with me show up spontaneously to donate pieces to my client closet, unsolicited.

They loved their experience, and they want to be part of what I’m building for others.

Nothing makes me prouder than when clients come back for second sessions. They’re coming back for third ones too, and they’re sending friends.

My client base is rooted in community, and it’s really the part of my business I’m most proud of.

The Vision Beyond the Enchanted Moments Artistry Boudoir Studio

In the years to come, I am looking to build beyond my studio. I seek to create a building that functions as a movement. Today, I have two studio spaces, and I’m looking to do more.

As we build, I envision a boutique and an event space where women can gather, create, and connect.

Boudoir builds dreams, and in mine, I envision domestic and international retreats. I see experiences that feel high-end but are not out of reach for all.

What does this vision have to do with my boudoir studio today? It’s a window into the very essence of why I do what I do.

The boudoir photography business I’m building prioritizes building a place where people are welcomed into an experience they never imagined they needed.

The door is open to join my community and find your way into the Enchanted Moments Artistry studio for boudoir and beyond.

Welcome in.
